This was Billy Eckstine´s fourth and final million-seller, Bing Crosby and Nat Shilkret had already made the Top 20 in 1931 with their versions of I Aplologize. Tony Martin and Champ Butler also made the charts in 1951 with their versions. I Apologize (also recorded by the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra in 1931) was recorded by Anita ODay, Artie Shaw, Dinah Washington and Kitty White (with Sunny Burke) at the time.
